PROCESS
Books are open for custom and flash: You can see my recent work at @inklore_ and all available flash designs at @inklore_flash.
Fill out a booking form. Read and understand the FAQs below for a better chance to be chosen.
Wait for me to respond. If you’re selected, I’ll respond within 7 days. If not, I’ll send you a response as soon as I can.
Consultations will be done via email. If we’re a good match, we’ll pick a date for you to come in and get tattooed. Once that has been determined, you will have the opportunity to send me reference images and placement photos for me to design from. If I have any questions, I’ll reach out. Otherwise you’ll be able to review your design the day of your appointment. If you’re uncomfortable with not seeing your design until the day of your appointment, please do not submit. This process works best for me, but I understand if you prefer a different kind of experience.
Submit a deposit to secure your date. This is non-refundable and will NOT go towards the total cost of your tattoo. I have been quite lenient for sickness or illness but due to the overwhelming amount of people that have abused this exception, I will no longer be returning this fee. No exceptions.
Tattoo day. Come prepared with photo ID, something to keep you occupied while being tattooed, and cash for final payment.
F.A.Q.
What do you tattoo?
I tattoo blackwork only. I have a number of working series: Bleeding Butterflies, Beetle Brooches, Flornament, Fauna Foundry, Herbal Apparatus, etc. These are a combination of insects, flora, fauna, architecture, and mechanisms – combined, embellished, or abstracted with the things they eat, habitats they live in, or behaviors that define them.
Please see my portfolio before requesting custom work. I do NOT tattoo portraits, humans, script, or anime.
How should I pay for my tattoo?
I prefer the deposit is paid through Venmo and cash for the rest.
Should I tip my tattoo artist?
It’s customary to tip 15–20%. Most of our hourly rate goes towards shop rent, license fees, materials, and other dues as independent contractors. Tipping allows clients to directly support the artist, including the time and attention they’ve devoted to creating a custom piece of art for you.
What if I need to Cancel/Reschedule?
Once you’ve booked an appointment, your booking deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel or miss your appointment, your deposit will not be returned. In order to reschedule, I will need to have availability on my calendar and another $200 deposit will be required to secure a new appointment date. If not, you will need to wait until my books are open next to resubmit.
When will I be able to see my design?
You will be able to review your design on the day of your appointment. The more specific you are in your emails, the easier it will be to achieve your design vision. I’m able to make minor adjustments on the day of your appointment and will work with you to place your design. However, if more than 50% of the design requires reworking, you will be charged an additional $200.
What is your Touch-up Policy?
I only give touch-ups for my own tattoos and all touch-ups are free for the duration of my career.
